established a prize for innvotation awarded annually by BSI since 1995 to students at the Royal College of Art, London. Dickson RusselI twice obtained matching funding from Arts & Business for BSI for this project as recognition of the Institution's first venture into arts sponsorship

established a programme whereby leading corporate members of BSI loaned artworks from their own collections for display at Chiswick, also on the theme of 'Art and Industry'

commissioned textile hanging from Jan Blake for main stairwell (see photo right)

arranged redisplay of historic portraits of past Director Generals of the Institution
